14High hopes, big disappointment. The only thing the food had going for it was the presentation. Unfortunately the portions and overall taste of the components didn't live up to the hype. The service was lackluster at best. Unattentiive staff, wasn't even that busy. They all seemed to be overwhelmed with trying to enter things in somewhere. Incorrect orders, long waits for anything from drink orders to appetizers to desert. Really perplexed that this has such high reviews. Better options on the island.
This place was absolutely amazing! The management and staff went above and beyond to make my friend’s birthday super special. Not only did they stay later to accommodate us because we couldn’t find the place at first, but my friends phone also fell off the CLIFF in the dark and they literally went down below and found it for her! They had a piano player that played happy birthday and her dessert also said “happy birthday” as a surprise. The food was also VERY DELICIOUS! 10/5 stars! 100% recommend!
Please do yourself a favor and come here. The food and views are not the only amazing thing about this place. The cap wait staff is the absolute best! They went above and beyond with their service to me and my friends at my birthday dinner. My party was running late bc we couldn’t find the location, they graciously helped us and were so accommodating. My phone fell off the side of the cliff. I thought it was a goner, but the staff made it there mission to find it which they did! I felt so great despite all it, they made my dinner so special. Thank you!
Superb food and great service. Ranks amongst the very best food we’ve ever had. The Yellow Fin Tuna main was outstanding and the study on chocolate was stunning. It’s expensive but it’s the old adage you get what you pay for.
My food was amazing, but it was almost overshadowed by all the mosquitos. I was literally bit over 60 times on my legs and it made the rest of my trip very uncomfortable.
Definitely gourmet, very tasty, great location and view, and surprised it's not super busy, but then who knew it was even there?
Went to Cliff first class 5 star dinning, staff were so friendly and attentive. Our family had a wonderful evening out. Meal was to die for a must visit. Price high end but worth every penny.
The octopus and duck appetizers were both very good. The entrees we ordered were underwhelming. Both the seafood risotto and beef short rib were not very exciting. The location is absolutely gorgeous and makes the whole experience. I would like to return in the future but would like to order several appetizers and drinks rather than an entrée. Beautiful location!
Beautiful resturant! The cap mansion is stunning. The resturant is right on the cliff. There are beautiful views and you can hear the waves crashing. Got a virgin daiquiri and it taste like a smoothie. Appetizers were octopus and duck confit. Both were absolutely delicious! Entrees were braised short rib and seafood risotto. Both were just ok to me. The short rib tasted like any you would've gotten elsewhere. The seafood risotto had plenty of seafood, and was great for a few bites. But too heavy and creamy for my palette. For dessert, got coffee and truffles. The coffee was strong! Super strong rum in it. The truffles were delightful. Would come back just for appetizers! The staff were friendly but the service is slow. Sat around for 30 minutes after dessert trying to get someone so we can have the bill.
It was my daughters birthday and we went to The Cliff for dinner. What a lovely experience, from the fabulous ladies at the restaurant- who were so welcoming, fantastic table decorated with flower petals, delicious cocktails and food and wine, sweet Happy Birthday sung by the lovely ladies who waited at our table, it was a 5 Star experience, thank you for making our evening so special, we would highly recommend.
We had breakfast here everyday of our stay and dinner once.
The breakfast was 5/5 every time. Perfectly executed local and American breakfast items with a view and service to match.
The dinner was 4/5. We had the Mahi Mahi and vegetable ravioli. The fish was over cooked and a bit stringy and chewy and the portions on the ravioli were laughable. That said, the deserts were some of the best we’ve ever had and worth the price of admission alone.
Really beautiful setting. The prices are comparable to fine dining U. S.
I had seafood risotto. A bit crunchy, but the roasted seafood was perfect.
I held my 50th Birthday celebration at the Cliff. Robbie, the manager, was awesome in planning and capturing my ideas. He met all of my 30 guests' needs that flew in from the states for my event. The sunset and seaside view and seating was breathtaking. He arranged for our transportation to the restaurant from our resort and arranged additional transportation to a club that hosted my private dance affair, arranged by Robbie. My guests and I returned to the Cliff later during the week for a second dinner that was different but just as good as the first. Definitely recommend
Walking through the resort, I imagined a romantic and majestic ambience. It was ok. The vibe, decor wasn’t anything spectacular. The live music on a Saturday was a nice touch. Ignore the typos on the menu. Also, they might run out of food listed on the seasonal menu. I expected more of the cocktails, but surprisingly they were quite ordinary and not great. Our waitress was truly amazing, friendly and wanted us to have a good experience. The food though- was absolutely delicious and unique (mushroom, chorizo risotto, shrimp Alfredo, seared scallops with pumpkin). We paid $180 usd for 4 drinks, bottle of water, 2 appetizers and 1 entree. Quite pricey but questionably worth it (?) for the food. Still, I wouldn’t return.
